About Us

Founded in 1977, Galena Oaks is the friendliest place this side of the Mississippi! With a quaint atmosphere, beautiful pond, too many stars to count, and more oaks and pines than you can shake a stick at, it is where some of us call home.

The Galena Oaks Property Owners Association (GOPOA) was incorporated on September 4th, 1980. The day-to-day affairs of the corporation are managed by its Board of directors. This Board holds four meetings annually and oversees the grounds maintenance and pond upkeep, and ensures that the street lighting and common areas are well maintained. The Board is also entrusted with the obligation of insuring that the "Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions" are upheld.

The wildlife is tremendous and if you are a photographer you have come to the right place! The surrounding areas, towns, and other communities, provide many opportunities to visit the numerous wineries and well-appointed restaurants, not to mention the many antique shops and golf courses to keep you busy.
